Dental implants
Implants are one way to replace missing teeth. Suitability depends on health, bone and gum condition, and the planned restoration. The implant and its crown are separate stages of one plan. A consultation covers alternatives, possible risks, preparation and follow-up. Available surgical methods and specialist involvement need to be confirmed.
These pages explain different areas of dental care. The availability of a particular treatment and any involvement of specialist colleagues are discussed at consultation.

There is no wrong question
Are implants suitable for everyone?
No. Contraindications and risk factors must be considered. Suitability is assessed in person alongside your general health.
Can an implant be placed immediately after extraction?
Not in every case. Tissue condition, clinical circumstances and the planned load must be assessed; the approach and availability are discussed at consultation.
